I have many, many feelings about backpacks, and they all pretty much start with "I hate". I admit that there is a very small segment of the population that finds them useful and necessary (ie, school children), but as much as the person in the photo above looks like a private school student, it is not. It is a 20-something hipster that I happened to be riding the train with at a moment of backpack-induced rage (generally sparked by tourists).

However, I do acknowledge that some people find them essential to their lifestyle (apparently like my friend, @HauteCraigture). Brands like Louis Vuitton continue to produce them (which makes me wonder who is buying), so I'm curious as to how you feel about backpacks. Share your thoughts in the poll below!

My feeling about Eva Mendes have always been mixed. She's an absolutely beautiful woman with respectable acting talents, however I find that her outfits can sometimes border on unnecessarily sexual (though I'm sure her male fans and Calvin Klein intimates don't mind). The olive green full circle skirt that she's rocking in the photo above is a nice departure from Herve Leger dresses and underwear-inspired ensembles.

The skirt is a big risk - the full shape, plus the cargo pockets on the hips, make it a difficult piece to pull of. Of course, since we've seen every line of her body within the advertising pages of fashion magazines, we know that she has nothing to hide. However, for the normal ladies of the world, this skirt may not be the most friendly piece. If you're into trying this piece for yourself, H&M has a faux leather circle skirt that has been making editorial waves online.

Honestly, I can't even pretend that I have anything bad to say about her look. Her glasses, assumedly Chanel, with simple jeggings, a soft, black leather bag, snuggly v neck sweater and grey turtleneck - well, somehow it all works, even though it wouldn't be my first instinct to reach into my closet and pair them together.

Perhaps the former supermodel learned a thing or two about putting an outfit together from some of the world's greatest designers and stylists. I'll be the first to admit that I don't look this great when I run to the corner store, much less running errands. How do you feel about her look?

Selecting the right New Year's Eve dress can be stressful, with the beauty look for that evening following a close second. Whitney Port walked the purple carpet at Coldplay/Jay-Z show The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas wearing a gorgeous structural turquoise mini dress, bronze statement necklace and bronzer that unfortunately had the shimmer of her necklace and dress combined. The effect left Whitney looking aged and statue-like, a contrast to the fresh, modern looks that we're used to.

Reese Witherspoon stepped out at the premiere of her much-hyped new film How Do You Know in look #9 from Zac Posen's Spring 2011 RTW collection. The skirt looks a bit more opaque on Reese, as opposed to the runway model, which could be a result of strategic shapewear or alterations. The dress is equal parts darling, romantic and seductive, a large step away from her traditional conservatively sweet red carpet looks. Aside from the fact that you've likely seen the trailer for this movie at least 50 times, how do you feel about her look for the premiere?

To me, Mandy Moore will forever be as sweet as candy, and her movie roles seem to reinforce my feelings. At the Australian premiere of Tangled, the animated film in which Mandy Moore voices the lead character, she opted for a romantic winter white dress with an embellished neckline and shoulder cutouts. (Editor's note: her rose gold stud earrings are from Dana Rebecca Designs & retail for a whopping $2,200.) The look was completed by gold ankle strap sandals.  Are you a fan of Mandy's romantic look? In my eyes, Olivia Palermo can do no fashion wrong in my eyes. She always manages to mix luxe pieces with something that feels little edgier, creating a look puts a modern twist on the classics. Say what you will about her attitude and character on The City, but her chic meter is off the charts - or is it? Does her behavior outweigh her sense of style?

Well, if you were curious as to who would ACTUALLY wear products from the Jimmy Choo x Ugg Australia collaboration, it seems that we've finally received an answer. Heidi Klum wore the studded wonders as she recently arrived at LAX. (Editor's note: She is also wearing PRPS Heirloom Denim.) The black Mandah Studded Boot costs a whopping $795 - aside from the price, would you dare to wear her look?

Christina Aguilera has been receiving some pretty harsh criticism recently, due in large part to a seemingly sudden weight gain. While I'm all for people being happy, comfortable & confident at any size, the photo above does raise some concerns. The arm holes appear to be gaping and there is an awful lot of breast squeezing out the side of her dress. Is Christina's weight gain out of control?
