I've been a fan of Amy Adams since her first role as Leslie Miller in Drop Dead Gorgeous (if you haven't seen the film, watch it immediately), but the Hollywood star machine got behind her after her lead role in Enchanted. Aside from being a stunning (and natural) redhead, there are plenty of reasons to love Amy including outside of her charming film roles and hard working attitude.

To kick off 2011, Marie Claire chose her for their cover. The accompanying images feature Amy's vibrant red hair, a killer combination of polka dots and smokey eyes, plus a gorgeous olive nail polish (Editor's note: I NEED to know where it comes from). The September Issue Face Off: 2010 vs 2009 Feature Editorials

Like many of my fellow fashion bloggers, I have a serious addiction to the month of September. Fashion Week (of course!), vampy nail polish & lip colors, plus September fashion all come out to play once the weather begins to whisper towards fall. The magazines are always overflowing with opulence, luxury, and pages upon pages of the best the industry has to offer. Each August, I collect the September issues of magazines like they're prized trading cards, pouring over the pages for inspiration and soaking up every bit of knowledge I can. This season is no different - I raced around the city the instant I learned that the issues were on newsstands to bring the glossy pages home.

Returning home with the (heavy) issues, I realized I still had 2009's issues. Looking at the two side-by-side is fascinating, down to the placement of the same company's ads in front of the feature editorial or the number of pages the cover celebrity was given. In the gallery below, I've scanned the 2010 feature editorial vs the 2009 feature editorial.

Lady Gaga In Vanity Fair's Style Issue, September 2010

Vanity Fair selected Lady Gaga as the face of the 5th annual style issue. Of course the article accompanying the cover is sensationalist, full of "sex, fame and drugs", however the editorial is stunning. Filled with McQueen, custom Armani Prive, Fred Leighton jewels, Noritaka Tatehana boots, and styled by Nicola Formichetti, the photos are full of life and at times exuberant.

Shades of grey and taupe have been making their way through beauty trends for a couple of seasons now. While others may have attempted grey hair (Kate Moss, Tavi), leave it to Gaga to transform it into something iconic. To compliment the grey, manicurist Deborah Lippmann chose Waking Up In Vegas, a lavender infused putty.

Drew Barrymore for Elle, August 2010

If I had to select my favorite magazine (which I honestly don't read as much as I should) it would be a close tie between Harper's Bazaar and Elle. Of course I love them both for very different reasons. My love for Elle is deeply rooted in their editorial abilities and this shoot with Drew Barrymore is a perfect example.

If you haven't had an opportunity to check out the August issue of Elle, you're missing out. It serves as the perfect lead in to magazine month (aka September). Flip through the editorial in the gallery below, featuring beautiful accessories, including the most beautiful black pumps I could possibly imagine. Vanessa Paradis for French Vogue, May 2010

In the US, we don't have as many opportunities to love Vanessa Paradis the way France does. Sure, we see her face in advertisements for Chanel's Rouge Coco lipstick and know about her relationship with Johnny Dep, but her appeal hasn't exactly made it across the ocean.

In her editorial for French Vogue's May 2010 issue, her look takes military chic to a whole new level. It's sassy, sexy and completely on-trend for Fall. Get out your shopping wish list ladies and take a cue from the styling in this editorial.

Oh Naomi Campbell - for all her alleged, wild antics, the fashion industry is still somehow enamored with her. Is it her killer body? Her stunning smile? Or is it her still relevant supermodel status?

All of these questions race through my head as I view her latest editorial for Russian Vogue. The cover image is cheery and bright, while the rest of layout relies heavily on the curves of Naomi's body and the silhouettes of the pieces she's wearing.

How do you feel about Naomi Campbell and this editorial in particular? Does it make you want to buy the clothing (or a snake, for that matter)?

Dita Von Teese Graces Russian Harper's Bazaar

Dita von Teese is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. She not only has an accutely honed sense of personal style and the self confidence to make a martini glass sexy but the personal relationships that are the key to accessing some of the world's most exclusive creations.

The fashion editorial in the current issue of Russian Harper's Bazaar is awe-inspiring. From the impeccable styling to her perfectly coordinated pout & half moon manicures, this layout is sure to spark a fashion flame.

This just might be my favorite editorial I have seen feating her. Which photos are your favorite?

Emily Blunt Lets Them Eat Cake For Vanity Fair

I can't tell you how much I love Emily Blunt - and there's only one reason. Her role in The Devil Wears Prada was so on point, you couldn't help develope a love-hate relationship with her character. TBH, I mostly loved her eyeshadow and her determination to succeed in the fashion industry. For these reasons and more, Emily was the perfect choice to channel a modern Marie Antoinette for Vanity Fair. Besides, do I need a reason to post photos of multiple men pandering to a beautiful woman? I think not.

Dita Von Teese In Citizen K Magazine

The truth is, it doesn't matter what Dita Von Teese does, it all turns gloriously gold. She has created the current definition of iconic beauty, spawned countless copycats (including my look today) and maintained just the right level of public appearances to keep us interested. For no reason other than she is completely stunning and I'm a little obsessed, her she is in Citizen K magazine.
