Oh.....Lady Gaga. Recently, a friend (who shall remain nameless to protect her from any stan backlash) asked "Are you over Gaga?". I'd recently been asking myself this very same question. Do I think she seems like a pretty cool gal? Sure. Do I respect and admire her ability to not die in towering heels? Absolutely. Do I wish that she'd give the schtick (and her body) a break? 100%.
But of course, Gaga is riding the Madonna-clone money train until she runs out of track - and who knows. Even then she's likely to sprout wings and find a way to fly. In the just-released video for Judas, Gaga mirrors yet another Madonna tactic: offending ethnic and religious groups. What's a sustained pop career without Jesus references?
Of course the video is visually stunning (I wouldn't expect anything less) and the makeup is pretty fantastic, but I'm really interested to see all of the groups that rise to protest this video. However, for the record, I do want a lipstick gun of my very own.
What are your thoughts on the Judas video?
