Today has been the kind of day where everything just comes together. I picked up my oh-so-fabulous birthday dress from Monfi C (showstopper!) and just had lunch with some very lovely ladies from Napoleon Perdis (seriously  - who doesn't love an Australian?). Tonight I'll be celebrating the launch of a new Cover Girl/Lesportsac collaboration with the one and only Pat McGrath. That Susan Miller was right - today is a fantastic day for Geminis.

After checking out Dina's hilarious OOTD yesterday, I realized that I've never tried the stereotypical fashion blogger pose. So, for today's look I gave it a whirl - and while it's missing my ear to ear grin, I don't mind it!

Trust me - when I finally get home at 10pm at night after being at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week since 7am, there is nothing that I avoid more than washing my face. I'm lucky if I can rub a bit of lip balm across my lips and set my alarm before I am sawing logs with the best lumberjacks. Fortunately, while I was backstage at Nicholas K, Napoleon Perids was gracious enough to share his Marshmallow Foam Makeup Remover with me. Since that day, I have consistently reached for my bottle of Marshmallow Foam the instant I get into bed. A couple of pumps of the foam massaged into my face and I'm ready to take off my makeup with a facial cleansing wipe.

The look for Vexiana - well, let's just admit that it's over the top. Fantastically over the top. Inspired by the line's designer, Kati, and her signature black smokey eye. To take her look her look to the next level, Napoleon wanted the models to look lavish and expensive.

To polish off the look, Napoleon is mixing Aphrodite (my red of choice), with Angelic and Psychedelic lip pencil to create a bordeaux lip. (Lips weren't complete at time of photo)

As I was watching the final scenes of last night's Pretty Little Liars (episode 1x13, Know Your Frenemies), I couldn't help thinking to myself, as I do in every episode, that I was absolutely in love with Lucy Hale's makeup. Of course the look was nothing ground breaking or revolutionary, however I was inspired to recreate the look on myself this morning. (Please excuse everything but the makeup in the photo - a freezing rain is attacking NYC.)
