Why: In conjunction with New York Fashion Week and G-Star’s 20^th brand anniversary, the international denim brand will host a three day RAW20 pop-up store in the heart of downtown Soho.

To commemorate this milestone, G-Star announces their RAW 20 pop-up store in New York, where from September 14-16  a special “RAW 20”collection will be sold; an exclusive series of T-shirts, sweats, pants and accessories.

G-Star celebrates their 20th birthday by donating all proceeds of the sales of this special RAW 20 collection to two children’s projects in India of the Net4Kids Aid Foundation via the G-Star Raw Denim (GSRD) Foundation.

Illamasqua Eye Liner Cake

During NYFW, I need products that work, that I can rely on and products that do their intended purpose well.  This is no time for experimentation or thinking outside the box. This is apply, blend and out the door.  I've never been a fan of turning eyeshadow into liner.  What's the point? I already have so many fantastic liners I don't need to use something that may just be mediocre as a substitute.

True, a cake eyeliner does add an extra step to the process, but it is a worthy step.  A cake eyeliner won't dry out as fast as a liquid or a gel because it begins in powder form - so there are no expiration dates or dried containers full of product to worry about. A cake eyeliner differs from standard wet/dry shadow in that it is intended to be used as a liner, so it is more heavily pigmented than its versatile shadow counterparts.

To use the Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake, I take my MAC Fix Plus and spray 2 sprays onto a clean surface.  Next, I dip my Sephora bent eyeliner brush into the Fix Plus and then into my Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake.  I usually move from Fix Plus to Eyeliner Cake several times to ensure I'm transferrng enough of the liquid to mix into the cake.  I move my brush in a back & forth motion to transfer enough of the product and then begin to apply across my upper eyelid.  The result is a perfectly opaque, black line ideal for smokey eyes or the retro glamour look.
