Let's face it - here in NYC the Summer weather has just started to finally rear it's ugly head over the past couple of weeks. Prior to that, we had rainy, mild conditions. For about the past three weeks, the humidity has been combining with the heat to create some sort of hair warping bomb. Doesn't matter if you are putting your hair into a ponytail (my daily MO), the humidty still finds some way to wreck it.
I've had Profound Beauty's Desert Sand sitting in my product arsenonal for quite some time. The dual chambered cream & gel didn't seem like they would be an appropriate combination for my thin, very fine hair. One day, I became brave enough to squeen the product into my hands. The cream is pretty self explanatory, however the gel was the surprising part - it has glitter in it. Suddenly, the thought of using this product didn't seem so bad.
After mixing the product together in the palm of my hands, I applied Desert Sand evenly throughout my hair. I then brushed through it and threw my hair into a ponytail. What I noticed about my hairstyle was that my hair felt more substantial and my hair actually behaved (without those pesky flyaways).

Even though my hair isn't used & abused with heat styling tools, it stil receives it's fair share from the NYC environment. My mom & I took a walking trip over the Brooklyn Bridge that left me with natural highlights across the top of my head. My poor hair was begging for moisture.
