The look for Jeremy Laing was a soft taken on the collection, without tyring "too hard" to match the close. Using MAC's Face & Body foundation & Strobe Cream, a neutral look was created, including using Pro Lash to remove the color of the lashes.  Key artist Hung Vanngo used Mineralize Eyeshadows in Love Stoned & My Lady, blending color from the crease of the eye to the temple & forehead.  He also used Shell Cream Color Base to highlight and Uncommon blush.

One of the greatest things about attending the Ann Taylor "See Now, Wear Now" Fall/Winter 2009 fashion show on the last day of Fashion Week (aside from being able to use my spectacular new camera) was that when I post these looks, anyone who loves what they're seeing can go purchase the items! Forget items that won't be sold or are too pricey for your budget - these wallet-friendly styles were expertly styled to inspire lust in your heart.

The show was star studded, with celebrities like Amanda Bynes, Joy Bryant, Kelly Killoren-Bensimon, Katharine McPhee, Vanessa Williams and Kelly Rutherford.  Warning: Before clicking through the gallery below, log onto AnnTaylor.com to begin making out your Fall/Winter 2009 shopping list so you can recreate the looks straight off the runway.

For Erin Fetherston's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, key artist Lucia accentuated the fair skinned models with an even lighter shade of MAC's Face & Body Foundation.  For the eyes, she used MAC classic Cork, a new "dark brown cream liner" and set the liner with a color I believed she called "Brun". In the video above Lucia, Charlotte Tilbury's former assistant, describes step by step the products & application needed to achieve the look Erin Fetherston desired for her Spring collection.

Lucia offers a lot of insights in regards to application and upcoming product releases. What's your favorite?

Hair artist Marco Santini of ION Studio used Davines products to create the look for Jeremy Laing Spring/Summer 2010. Marco & the designer determined that the girls looked best with their hair pulled back and that the hair should look like it was a mask. The intention wasn't to look too much like a chignon or a "hair-do" but to achieve a flat shape.

To achieve this look he used Davines Creative Moulding Foam as a base, For Wizards Quick Setting Hard Gel (to achieve that "mask" look) and Defining Gloss to ensure the shine was maintained throughout the presenation.

Key artist Romy Soleimani describes the look for ADAM Spring/Summer 2010 as 'aristocratic'.  Using a large brush and a matte bronzer, the color is worked from the cheeks & other spots the sun might hit your face outward.  Face & Body Foundation, currently promoted in MAC's In High Def collection, was sheered out and used to create the no makeup effect. One key trend that I began noticing from this show forward was a serious lack of eyelashes, either with no mascara moving all the way forward to the blatent concealing of the lashes.

In the video, Romy describes several new products MAC products that were used backstage, include a matte mixing medium, a Starflash eyeshadow with the working name Modelette and a new "crushed metal" product.

Photos from the highly anticipated H&M and Jimmy Choo collaboration have just been released and honestly I was expecting a bit more from Tamara Mellon & crew.  The designs feel a bit dated - the studded flats can be found from Steve Madden all the way down to catalog retailers - and the bags aren't all that inventive.

However, there are a couple of shining stars. While not innovative, the studded belt is super hot. Over-the-knee boots are a bit more difficult to find than your average style and this pair seems pretty sleekly designed.

Inspired by the Edwardian era & new romanticism, key hair artist Leonardo Manetti of ION Studios created a full, pined back look for Timo Weiland Spring/Summer 2010.  To create the look Leonardo used Davines Defining Texturizer for texture and Davines Defining Volume Mousse for volume & shine applied to wet hair.

Once dried, a 1-inch curling iron was used on alternating sections of hair and finished with the Davines Glam Power Spray.  To see backstage photos of the look being created, click through the gallery below.

Ahh, the Emmys.  Such a gentle launch into the awards show season, full of gowns and acceptance speeches, teleprompters and comedic hosts.  Don't you just love the time before everyone starts feeling the pressure?

Tonight's red carpet was filled with glitz & glamour, a little more than I might have expected to find on this particular red carpet.  If you weren't dripping in shimmering sequins, diamonds or rhinestones, you were showing some form of clevage.

Initially, I had meant to post these galleries daily (as you might have noticed from the first post), but truth be told things were so hectic between work & appointments, I fell behind.
