During the Blogger Launch Event for All American Stetson, we heard Tom Brady talk about what he finds sexy in a woman. And guess what? He thinks you're sexy. In fact, he thinks all women are sexy - don't believe me? Check out these videos for yourself.

Quick Hits: Cherry Blossom Fever

Everywhere I look (and sniff), there seems to be a resurgence in Cherry Blossom fever. From the midnight Cherry Blossom inspiration at Akiko Ogawa, to beauty products popping up in every category, it's near unavoidable. So unavoidable that my shower has now become inundated (and I'm not complaining!).
Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom line smells sweet, like the softest Maraschino cherries combined with baby powder. The scent is delicate not overpowering, and the perfect way to welcome the slow onset of Spring.
Suave's Wild Cherry Blossom Shampoo & Conditioner take a more aggressive approach, utilizing the 'wild' to evoke a more playful scent. The scent is also sweet, but more tart than Bath & Body Works' formulation. Not one to be missed, the Shampoo & Conditioner can be picked up at most drugstores nationwide for under $5.
What scent is currently invading your shower?

Morning Spazz: Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2009
My girl Megan over at Coutorture has done it again - her recent trip to the Rebecca Minkoff showroom to sneak a peek at Fall 2009 has sent me reeling. Those heavily studded bags in various shapes and sizes are putting me into major want mode. What can I say? I'm a sucker for studs, just like Beka at reLYME. In addition to the rocker inspired black and gold studded bags, Mikoff also has a cool, sort of dusty cognac shade.
Have you seen any Fall 2009 handbags that are making your head spin?
Viva Glam VI Special Edition + Interview With Ongina of Rupaul's Drag Race

There are so many companies pledging to give proceeds of the selling price towards a charity that the true heroes can often be caught in the midst of a publicity stunt. Fortunately, the effects of MAC's Viva Glam products can be seen worldwide.
Every cent of the selling price of MAC's Viva Glam products goes to the MAC AIDS Fund, where it is distributed both locally and internationally to help those with HIV and AIDS. With the help of second-time Viva Glam spokesmodel Fergie, MAC has released a Viva Glam VI Special Edition lipstick and lipglass. Viva Glam VI SE Lipstick is a lovely neutral blue-toned pink, perfect for Spring and Summer days. The best part of this color is that it's so wearable you'll use an entire tube without effort and continue contributing the MAC AIDS Fund. See how easy they make it?
If you aren't convinced that you should be participating in this great cause with a great lipcolor, watch the MAC AIDS Fund video below:
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of interviewing Ongina of Rupaul's Drag Race. During the show, Ongina won a challenge allowing her to be a representative of the MAC AIDS Fund, and broke down on the runway after the announcement. What viewers (and Ongina's own parents) were unaware of was that Ongina herself was diagnosed with HIV. The opportunity to spread awareness through the MAC AIDS Fund was the gift of a lifetime. View my interview with her below:
How have you helped others today? You could start with a simple tube of $14 lipstick.
Quick Hits: Rimmel's Sexy Curves Mascara
For the absolute longest time, I was anti plastic mascara wands. I had not had any positive experiences and I wasn't going to give any products a second chance. Then one day, my eyelash curler bit the dust. To be more precise, it was probably the pads that were defunct, but I blamed the entire curler and headed to Sephora.
While perusing the torture devise selections, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the famed Shu Umera eyelash curler. I would not believe any beauty editor's claim that it was the best on the market - a curler is a curler is a curler, right? Well wrong. What makes the Shu Umera curler better than all the others is the sharp angle at which it curls your lashes. From that first curl on, all mascaras performed differently.
Which is why I now can no longer hate plastic mascara wands. With the Shu Umera in hand, they instantly perform better. When I saw the metallic purple packaging of Rimmel's Sexy Curves mascara, I was powerless. Not to mention that I was quite suspicious of it's oddly shaped wand.
The final verdict: I love it! My lashes are wonderfully seperated to the point where it looks like I have twice as many, and I love the deep black color against my lash line. The only trick is that the formula dries very fast, so sometimes the tips of your lashes won't be as dark or thick as the bottom. It takes a few applications to get the hang of it, but once you do, you'll be as amazed as I was.
Rimmel's Sexy Curves Mascara is available at drugstores Nationwide.
Too Faced: Truth In Product Copy?

Please allow me to preface this post by saying I typically don't like to go on a negative rant on Style IT. It's just not my style. However, when I see suspicious copy attempting to convince me to purchase a product for a cause, I become wary.
Nothing against Jerrod Blandio, his sister Lisa or the Too Faced Love Lisa Melanoma Research Foundation Grant, but what exactly is a "huge portion"? I have no problem with an additional $5 being added to the purchase price of my favorite product for charity, or even purchasing this $16 chapstick from Sephora to support a good cause. However, nothing is more shady than a company trying to convince me with deceptive words attached to a cause.
On a separate note, when Googling for the Too Faced Love Lisa Melanoma Research Foundation Grant, no results return. In fact, the only relevant result appears to lead to a charitable page on the Too Faced website - but when you click the result, the page returns a 500 error.
What should brands learn from Too Faced? Do not try to sway your customer by using arbitrary words like "huge", especially when attached to a cause, in an attempt to persuade a customer to purchase a $16 tube of chapstick with a cute charm.
Morning Spazz: L.A.M.B. Fall 2009

When I saw this photo, I just couldn't help myself. I made the mistake of popping over to Coutorture (for an entirely work-related purpose, I swear) when my pulse began to race - I have discovered where a large chunk of cash will go when Fall 2009 begins to sell. Follow the hot pink arrows to delicious L.A.M.B. handbags (I'm a sucker for a good black bag and a frame bag - I die!).
If you would like to risk drool and possible keyboard damage, head over to Coutorture to check out the rest of the line.
How To (Accidentally) Look Like A Fake Stripper

One morning, while grabbing a pre-work latte with Mr. Man, I asked him how I looked. His response?
"You look like a fake stripper."
"What's a fake stripper? You mean an FBI Agent undercover as a stripper?"
"No, a fake stripper."
I pondered this phrase for the 15 minute train ride to work. After taking a completely unscientific poll, it was decided that a "fake stripper" was just my silly boyfriend's way of describing Burlesque. Awkward perhaps, or even clunky, but perhaps it was his way of sharing a compliment (?).
So, for those of you looking to recreate my "fake stripper" look - here's how:
Step One: Clearly, it's all about the outerwear. I was sporting the
Gillian Grey for Silhouettes Ponte De Roma Wrap Jacket in Black. Perhaps it was it's sleek trenchcoat meets robe vibe, or maybe the soft fabric, but I believe this stylish Spring must-have was key in this look.
Step Two: Sport a Sassy Red Lip. On this particular morning I was rocking an elusive stick - MAC's Ruffian Red. (Ruffian Red photo courtesy of The Daily Cookie) One quick swipe of this lipstick empowers me with the knowledge that only 499 other women can enjoy that same thrill. It's like high heels for the lips.
Step 3: Feathers A Go-Go. Our biggest clue that "fake stripper" was somehow code for Burlesque? The bright red Love Lulu Mae feathered headband I was sporting was not only vibrant but mood altering. Similar to the headband pictured, Love Lulu Mae pieces are one of a kind - get your mojo while it's hot ladies!
Step Four: Keep your outfit hot. To be honest, I don't remember what the rest of the outfit consisted of. I'm not even sure it was part of the whole "fake stripper" aesthetic. Know what I say? Keep it sassy.
Has your boy ever made a similar hilarious lip slip?
Quick Hits: Stop Weak, Peeling Nails
Barielle Nail Rebuilding Protein
$17.50 by Barielle at Skin Store
Ever since I've had a certain nail procedure, my nails haven't been the same. They've been weak and easy to break which means I couldn't keep polish on them to save my life. Then one day a magical product appeared - Barielle's Nail Rebuilding Protein. My nails have gone from flimsy to fab in a week flat. The instructions say to apply every 2-3 days and you can even use it as a polish base. The result? Substantially stronger nails that have lasted a full 2 days without a topcoat. Winner, indeed.
