The NY Cinema Society and Vanity Fair co-hosted a screening of the iconic film "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." Starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, the film chronicles two lounge singers on a trans-Atlantic cruise. Those who appeared in support of the film include Ivanka Trump, Jessica Stam, Amy Sacco, Alexandra and Theodora Richards, and Bebe Neuwirth.
Hollywood's IT girls flocked to the premiere of Volkswagen's Concept SUV, the Tiguen. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie made a rushed entrance, while Jamie King, Dita Von Teese, jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino, and Zooey Deschanel all posed for pictures.

Jessica must be REALLY loyal to her hairdresser. Jessica Simpson was under consideration to be the face of Miu Miu's Spring 2007, but the title has unfortunately gone to Lindsay Lohan, due to Simpson's dedication to Paves. A Vanity Fair cover shoot was cancelled because Jessica refused to work with the hair and makeup team the photographers, Marcus Piggott and Mert Alas, requested. "Being the professionals they are, they wanted to bring in their own hair and makeup team, but Jessica said if they didn't use Ken, then she wasn't sitting for the shoot." "Most fashion photographers use their own people - and they certainly don't use Ken Paves, who is considered tacky and amateurish for high-fashion shoots. He's very 'Texas pageant hair.' PETA, People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals, have named Nicole Richie as it's worst dressed celebrity for 2006. “This pelt-wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones,” notes the animal rights group. “She’s an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match.” Ouch! Other celebrities to make the list include Ashley Olsen and Eva Longoria. “You’d think she’d be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way she screws around like one on Wisteria Lane.” Double Ouch!!
Party girl Paris Hilton topped the worst dressed list in 2005, but has since redeemed herself after watching a PETA video on the fur industry. Insiders whispered that Lindsay Lohan was slated to top the list this year, but was saved by a Anti Fur protest at UK retailer TopShop just in time. After being photographed in a "No Fur" button, PETA overlooked her fashion mistakes.
In other Nicole Richie news, the media frenzy over her recent split from stylist Rachel Zoe is heating up. Earlier today, Richie posted the following in a blog on her official Myspace page:

It's been so bad that next to Britney, Paris Hilton is starting to look like a lady.
Honestly, what is happening to the world, when a former Pop Princess and now mother of two, cannot exit a car gracefully? This "trend" has reached such proportions that ABC News has even picked up on it. "You'd think she'd either wear pants or panties, or be more careful about how she exits a car," blogger Hilton said. "Four times. That's no accident. That's deliberate."
Women of America: I'm begging you. Learn from class acts such as Anne Hathaway, Hilary Duff, Scarlett Johansson, Mandy Moore, Amanda Bynes and many moore Hollywood starlets who don't flash the paparazzi for a good shot. Young celebrities these days are train wrecks. Hide your children, avert your eyes and keep them from the panty flashers!

US Weekly has confirmed reports that Nicole Richie fired super stylist Rachel Zoe on November 14th, just 2 weeks after "getting the help" she needed to take care of her health. According to insiders, Richie "wanted to surround herself with positive influences." Though Zoe is denying any hostility over the split, a friend of Richie says Zoe wasn't happy with the news. Nicole has hired designer and stylist Christina Ehrlich to assist her with wardrobe choices for the American Music Awards.
Christina Ehrlich, along with design partner Estee Stanley, have dressed the likes of Mandy Moore, the Olsen Twins, Jessica Biel, Penelope Cruz, Demi Moore and Salma Hayek. Their clothing and lingerie line, Miss Davenporte, can range from $200 to $1,000. The lingerie line includes shapewear kits and are available at Fredericks of Hollywood.
If Miss Richie's wise decision is any indicator, there might just be a Hollywood change for the better. Perhaps healthy elegance is making a comeback; it never should have left.
