Key artist Lyne Desnoyers used MAC Cosmetics to create a look inspired by fabrics, knits, and textures from the collection. The look was designed to be worn in, very beautiful, but with an element of untouchable. The skin was breathable, dusted very lightly with Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, and highlighted with a metallic shadow to add additional texture to the skin. To keep the look distressed, Lyne play with pencils and stains, adding intensity in very specific shapes, while adding highlights described as "little touches" where light would hit. There was no mascara used to create the look.

In addition to prepping for Fashion Week and covering backstage beauty for two shows (Victor de Souza and Erros, more on those later), I ran uptown to the offices for Ladies' Home Journal to have my head shot taken for the holiday issue - yes, really! I've picked a couple of pieces worthy of making an appearance at holiday festivities from two of my favorite brands.
