Lucky Duck: Gorjana's Horseshoe Stud Earrings

I'm not sure whether it's my equestrian past from Arkansas that's subconsciously sneaking up on me or I'm feeling the need for an extra bit of luck, but I can't get the thought of a darling pair of horseshoe stud earrings out of my mind.

The instant I saw these Gorjana Horseshoe Studs, I instantly knew they belonged on my ears. With brushed 18k gold, these studs are 1/2" an inch wide, which just happens to be just about the perfect size for a pair of studs.

Superstition says that you should always keep the ends of a horseshoe pointed up so your luck doesn't run out - keep those ends up, ladies!

Lusting After: Kathryn Kerrigan's Fall 2010 Lookbook

During the past few seasons, it never fails that I end up lusting over Kathryn Kerrigan's designs. Not only does she design beautiful, stylish shoes, but Kathryn believes in creating footwear for women euro sized 39 - 46 (roughly US sizes 8 - 16).

While there are a few brands that cater to larger sizes, the majority of them are poorly designed, poorly made or a dangerous combination of both. I've been wearing a pair of Kathryn Kerrigan silver ankle booties every fall for a few years now (I think at least 3) and they are still as gorgeous and comfortable as they day I received them.

For fall, Kathryn has focused on five key trends: Classic/Vintage, Skins, Indigo, Hardware, and Military.

Never, Ever Will I Clog - Will You?

People are REALLY loving clogs lately. Of course, not everyone is jumping on the trend, simply because the style is so polarizing.

I personally cannot stand clogs. There is nothing about them that I find desirable. The violate my first rule of shoes, which is that they must have a back. Can you imagine walking down the subway stairs, only to have your shoe mysteriously fly off? EW.

The style also violates my second rule of shoes, which is that (generally speaking) I don't wear wood. There have been very few styles with a wooden heel or wedge that have captured my attention, and I don't anticipate this changing anytime soon.

There are some outfits where I can appreciate the need for a clog, but I just can't get over how closely it resembles Crocs. CROCS, people.

Bag Business: How Often Do You Change Your Handbag?

Over the past few years, I have fallen deeply in love with handbags. I've only recently come to a point in my life where I can begin to afford the bags I truly want instead of buying "meh" bags at TJ Maxx (not saying that I won't continue to do so, just less frequently). My first substantial purchase above the $40 mark was the above Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag at a sample sale last year (pictured here in a post from Eye4Style's What's in HER Bag series).

After my gateway cobal Minkoff, I purchased two LAMB bags at a sample sale and another Minkoff at a sample sale last week. Needless to say, I went over the handbag rainbow and I have no intention of finding my way back. However, I am pretty particular about when I carry a bag and how that day's weather might impact my activities.

I'm curious, how often do you change handbags? Does the weather impact your bag more than your planned activities? Please share your thoughts in the poll & comments below!
