At least in the commercial for her next fragrance. Parker plays a fragrance felon, fiending for just a spray, she breaks into a shop window in Paris, and is quickly whisked away to jail in a Christian Lacroix ball gown. The print ad includes the tagline "I have to have it", hence the new fragrance's name, Covet.
In case you're already craving SJP's latest scent, line up at Macys for their exclusive from mid-July to mid-August. Wider distribution will happen in August, with the ad campaign beginning sometime in September. Covet, encased in a peridot-hued bottle, is expected to earn an estimated $30 million. It looks to be a big year for Sarah Jessica, as the contracts have been reportedly signed for the Sex And The City movie.
Poor Gap. In an attempt to save it's ever floundering business, the retailer has recruited Doo-Ri Chung, the gals from Rodarte, and Thakoon Panichgul to design a limited edition collection. According to rumors, the designers are to put their unique spin on white dress shirts, as a tie in with Gap's white shirt campaign. Interestingly enough, the company has pledged $1 million to the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund though their company is experiencing severe losses.
In conjunction with the launch (no dates set yet), Anna Wintour's minions Meredith Melling Burke and Virginia Smith will host a party at The Bowery later this month.

The Golden Globes is a parade of Hollywoods finest from film and television, creating star stunning red carpets. Except this year, where all the women began to look the same. The red carpet was mainly comprised of white and black floor length dresses, with minimal makeup (there are a few exceptions), chandelier earrings and updos. I'll break it down for you by best, worst and color.
Best Dressed:
Undeniably, the belle of the ball was Felicity Huffman. Her dark green halter dress with black accents was completely stunning. The fit was amazing, the color was far from boring, and Felicity turned it out. Major kudos.
Runners up include Ali Larter and Reese Witherspoon.
Worst Dressed:
Naomi Watts is a stunning woman. While it wouldn't take a circus of a dress for her to look amazing, the least she could have done was make an effort. This dress looks cheap and boring, and does not do this incredible actress justice. Lets hope she gets a new stylist before the Oscars.
Runners up include Sienna Miller, Tina Fey and Shondra Rhimes.
Best Makeup:
Jennifer Lopez is a given for best makeup. She always looks incredible, whether she's wearing bold colors or muted browns. It's something in the shape of her eyes that is alluring. Eva Longoria is beginning to be another woman who falls into that category. There is always such life in her face and depth to her eyes. Her makeup is never boring, simple, or extreme. Jennifer Hudson has her best features highlighted with a champagne eyeshadow and berry lip, she balances the red carpet look.
Worst Hair:
Oh ladies. Immediately tell your assistant to fire your hairstylist. Hilary Swank plays a teacher in her latest flick Freedom Writers, but with this hair, she looks like she should be a school girl, and not in that 'plaid skirt Britney Spears' kind of way. Kyra Sedgewick and Vanessa Williams look liky psychotic poodles. I love Williams' character on Ugly Betty, but please Vanessa, tone down the diva. Sienna Miller must have just returned from yodeling in the Swiss alps, even though we all know she just hosted the Chanel dinner. And then there is Renee Zellweger. She's cute in Bridget Jones. Sure, at all point we thought she was glamorous. Those days seem to be dwindling, as she turned up to the Golden Globes looking just plain....boring.
Everyone was wearing white:
Warning, viewing these pictures may make you begin to believe that all Hollywood actresses look the same. White, full length gowns. Some rouching, some detail, but mostly everyone seems to be aiming for the virginal white gown.
The ladies in white include: Ali Larter, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Emily Blunt, Hayden Panettiere, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Garner, Sarah Paulson, Sienna Miller, Terri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan, Kyra Sedgewick and Kate Winslet.
Except those wearing black:
Black is the classic on the red carpet. It's classy, easy and flattering, but there can however, be mistakes.
Those ladies visiting the dark side include: Cate Blanchett, Chloe Sevigny, Courtney Cox, Mary-Louise Parker, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Katherine Heigl, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Penelope Cruz, Sandra Oh and Tina Fey.
Blue made an unexpected appearance:
The blue ranged from pastel to navy, which I feel has a strong place in spring as a black alternative.
Those in blue were: Eva Longoria, Isla Fisher, Melania Trump, Naomi Watts and Toni Collette.
Red is the power color:
Those in Hollywood wanting to be noticed opt for red. These women are strong and have no problem with the spotlight. As is the case with those at the Golden Globes, they deserve the spotlight as well.
Wearing red was: Mary J. Blige, Rachel Weisz, Sara Ramirez and Sophia Milos.
Is wearing gold the telling sign of a diva complex?
Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce. I'm sure she gets chills every time someone says/types her name. She wants the attention and craves the spotlight. Do you see that ridiculous dress? She cannot stand the fact that Jennifer Hudson chose simple and outshined her. I do believe she is channeling her Dreamgirls character a tad too strongly.
Going for gold were: Beyonce, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Shondra Rhimes. All ghastly if you ask me.
The hodge-podge:
Some women did stray from the norm. Angelina Jolie and Jessica Biel opted for grey numbers, while America Ferrera and Sheryl Crow chose purple. Reese Witherspoon was completely stunning in a knee length yellow number, and of course there is the stunning Felicty Huffman in emerald. Other ladies straying from the pack were: Becki Newton, Emilie De Ravin, Evangaline Lily, Jada Pinkett Smith, Patricia Arquette, Rinko Kikuchi, Renee Zellweger, Vanessa Minillo and Vanessa Williams.
And there you have it. The good, the bad and the glamorous.

I love Tim Gunn. He’s half the reason I watch Project Runway. In a recent interview with US Weekly, Tim gives his opinions on some Hollywood ladies.
Kate Hudson: “She’s someone who, generally speaking, looks great,” says Gunn. “It’s a matter of dressing appropriately for wherever it is you’re going.”
–Which I think translates to ‘I can’t remember a damn thing she’s worn.’
Jessica Simpson: “Why is she a celebrity?” Gunn wonders about the Employee of the Month star, whom he says is sometimes fashionable, sometimes horrendous. “But, boy, is she photographed all the time!”
Sarah Jessica Parker: “I love her,” gushes Gunn, adding that Parker would be a “fabulous” guest judge of a future season of Project Runway. “She always looks beautifully put-together, but she’s not like somebody’s dress-up doll. I think she really weighs in on her stylists’ decisions.”
–I agree! SJP always has that finished look that so many women strive for, even when she’s not going for the most elegant look.
Britney Spears: “Aside from looking as though she’s just been dragged out from under a truck that tried to run her over, she always looks like she’s in need of personal hygiene,” snipes Gunn about the new mom of two. “The whole package to me is just repugnant. Ugh!”
–Oh Britney Britney Britney. If Tim Gunn thinks you’re ‘repugnant’–which means GROSS YA’LL–then please get some help. Shower. A little lip gloss and a blowdryer will do you wonders. And stop with the flip flops already. It’s time to be a real girl with real shoes.
