Heart To Palm: Lush Reduces Palm Oil

(Admittedly, I understand that I am SO behind on this news. However, helping the environment is always a good thing!) Back in August, Lush announced a new reformulation of their soap products in an effort to significantly reduce the amount of palm oil needed to manufacture their soaps. The three year process lead to a new palm oil free soap base - Lush is the first cosmetics company to take a stand against the palm oil harvested from the Indonesian Rainforrest.

While my mom was here, we stopped by the SoHo Lush location to take part in a pledge to reduce our palm oil consumption. She had a wonderful time, transferring her handprint to the store windows and learning about the deforrestation of the Indonesian rainforrest in the process.

As I got Spring-ready yesterday, I turned to my favorite no-fail products for looking bare-leg worthy.

As much as this might be considered embarrassing, I'm going to admit that I hate shaving. I'm 6'2" and it takes me a heck of a long time to shave these tree trunks, which is exactly why I love the Schick Intuition razor. I've read a lot of negative things my peers have to say about this product. The truth is, I've had pretty negative experiences with the majority of self tanners on the market. Personally, I've never been one to hit the bars in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. I prefer to stay away from the madness and celebrate in private (aka drink at home with good tv).
