It's pretty natural to see a dress strolling down the runway on a super-svelte model and wish you would have the opportunity to wear it. At last night's Golden Globes awards ceremony, some celebrities had the opportunity to do just that. I love seeing who had the original designs altered to suit their needs, who wore the gowns as is, and who the starlets identified with.

my pick for best dressed was maggie gyllenhaal and jennifer lopez...i was so glad to see jlo back to doing jlo and leaving the princess dresses behind. worst dressed was a tie between renee and drew. as much as i've wanted renee to stop wearing dark strapless herreras, this was not the direction to go in. and drew's hair and makeup ruined the gorgeous etherealness of her gown...
Generally the actresses wore it better than the models because (most of) them don't look as though they are going to collapse from starvation. Anne Hathaway and Olivia Wilde excepted. However, other than JLo, the worst trend, to my mind, was huge open necklines exposing bony chests and a pronounced absence of cleavage! My personal favorites were Drew Barrymore, Salma Hayek, January Jones, and an actress you don't show here who I am too lazy to look up.
Renee easily took the prize for worst-dressed: anorexia can make you hallucinate, you know. And Hayden Panettierre looked as if she had been stuffed in a purple sack.
I am going to have fun going through all the dresses.
