There is something about the right pair of slouchy ankle boots, with an ever-so-slight heel that clicks with every step, to put you in stomping mood.

This probably sounds crazy, so let me explain - I have a pair of slouchy ankle boots that instantly make me feel stompy. As I leave my apartment building, and begin to cross the street towards the train, the click of my heels against the sidewalk makes me feel powerful - like I can take on the world.
