On The Plus Side: Look of the Day 12/2

You know when you buy something new that you love SO much that you create an entire outfit around it? That's where this outfit came from. Readers, I introduce you to my stunning new L.A.M.B. bag I picked up at a recent sample sale. It may have been on the market 3 years ago (and I wanted it then), but I cannot be happier to finally own it!

Dress: Handmade (by me!)

Earrings: Forever 21

Belt: Igigi (product sample)

Gloves: Avon (product sample)

Bag: L.A.M.B.

Shoes: Converse

What a lovely outfit.
I really need to try wide belts. You really pull it off very well and I think we have similar body shapes so this makes me more eager to try this.
Congrats on your sewing skills. Smiling
I can see why you're happy about the purse.

Hey Sarah,

I really like the outfit from the ankles up. The purse and belt work great together, I even love how the shine on the material of the dress pulls all the peices together. The fingerless gloves really go well with the edge of the bag. The slick simple hair and soft makeup (I heart ur baby pink lips) complete your look without doing too much. But what happened with the shoes, couldn't you take a pair with you and change for the photo? Other than that I love it. Good job, I love seeing your photo posts so keep it up Smiling

Hey Alicia,

I chose them on purpose.

Thx.

Kudos on making your own dress! As for the shoes I barely noticed until it was pointed out. On further dissection I think they balance the gloves. My eye wants to put a scarf on you but my mind knows they are being overused everywhere. Nicely done as usual.

Note to self: learn to sew immediately! That dress is FAB!!!

Yay! OTPS is back, finally! So into the gloves and the slicked-back hair.

I must have that belt - how did you get it ? I love wide belts, but belts period are very difficult to find and when found, they're often cheaply made. Can you comment on the materials of the Igigi belt and where you got it.

Great sewing skills.. where did you learn to sew like that? Makes me think I should start learning to sew rather than stress over finding nice cloths to wear : )

Hi @LargerInLA

Thanks so much for your compliment! It's actually an adapted t-shirt pattern. It was pretty easy, I have to say!

It's a great hobby to take up! Dresses are super easy.

It sure doesn't look like a t-shirt, it's way more glamorous than that Smiling
Unfortunately, I have no talent for sewing and can't say I am very fashion conscious as well. But I am trying to learn more about it. Would definitely follow your blog so that I can learn more.
