Dionis High Gloss Lip Shine in Ginger Mint $4.99
Honestly, my first thought when I this gloss was "What could be so special about another lip gloss in a tube?". After one use, I stand corrected. This is not your typical gloss-in-a-tube that smells yummy. First of all the formula is not sticky - the texture is more like a lip treatment than a gloss, but the finish is shiny with a hint of red. Secondly, the smell is delightful - the perfect hint of Holiday that can be used all Winter.
Harajuku Lovers Solid Coffret Fragrance Set - $60
What could possibly be cuter than perfume bottles with Harajuku Lovers' dolls attached as toppers? The Solid Coffret Set. The five fragrances (Love, G, Baby, Music, and Lil' Angel) are each packaged within the respective heads. Imagine pulling one of these out of your purse for a fragrance touch up - simply adorable.
Dashing Diva's Smooth Operator Nail File - $7.50
Ever since I received this nail file backstage at Fashion Week, I use it during every at-home manicure. My nails have a tendency to peel, painted or not, and this file fixes any sign of peeling and helps my polish to last longer. I will never do an at home manicure without it.
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Your Skin Makeup - $12.99
Even though my skin has a tendency to be oily, the combination of heavily chlorinated water and exposure to the elements in NYC tend to make it dryer than normal. I was surprised to learn that Your Skin Makeup isn't oil free - I guess I had just assumed it was since the majority of foundation products on the market are. I really like this foundation and I have found that it has protected my face substantially more than oil free foundations.
Pur Minerals Live, Laugh, Love Palette - $39.95
Admittedly I don't have a lot of experience with mineral makeup. I'm really glad I checked out this palette. The three shades - bronze, sheer pink shimmer and marbled pink - are an amazing treat for the Holiday season. Sure, you could buy one for a friend, but I recommend buying as a pre-party treat for yourself.
