Quite an interesting croud was seen at New York Fashion Week’s opening day, which was largely due to the Red Dress show featuring such celebrities as Katharine McPhee and Kristin Chenoweth (more on that show to come). Mena Suvari arrived with a fantastic haircut, however it is very similar to Nelly Furtado’s amazing bangs. Socialites Fabiola Beracasa and Olivia Palermo made an appearance, as did models Lauren Hutton and Helena Christenson. Tim Gunn and Patrick McDonald were also spotted in the tents. Red Dress fashion show participants Betsey Johnson and Kim Catrall looked lovely after their turn on the catwalk. Pop legend Cyndi Lauper also made a surprising appearance.
